Ecuador, An agent of the National Directorate of Crimes Against Life (Dinased) was injured during a confrontation with a criminal, Thursday.

According to the version of witnesses, the policeman had arrived to eat with his family and the criminal entered a few minutes later, asking the clients, under threat, to hand over their belongings.

The robber pointed at the agent, who was in civilian clothes. Seeing that his life was at risk, the agent took out his weapon to ask the assailant to stop and surrender. However, the robber fired at the agent, who after suffering shoulder injuries managed to react and shot at least 5 times at the robber, who was left lying on the ground bleeding.

The robber was taken to a hospital, where it was found that his health was critical. The guy did not carry documents that would allow him to know his identity. The agents works on establishing the name of him.

Honestly, the cop was stupid and STUPID lucky. He'd have done better to comply then use an opportunity when the guy turned to run or something to blast him. He's lucky as fuck he didn't lose his skull. It was a matter of maybe an inch.

I'm not an expert but based on videos I've seen on this site in the past Robbers don't tend to show any Mercy to anybody witnesses or shopkeepers they all get the same treatment and it's a cold heartless kill and it's usually over a minuscule amount of money.
The only real chance you have is to fight for your life and the officer did a great job distracting the assailant for long enough to draw his own weapon and have a Fighting Chance he was still shot in the arm and was bleeding pretty badly but I don't doubt if he hadn't made the moves he made he would be dead
