Re: Oklahoma Trooper Thrown To Side of Highway
Volkswagen/Audi. Ford/Lincoln. Chevy/Buick/GMC. Stellantis products (Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Jeep, Fiat, etc.) Toyota/Lexus. Nissan/Infiniti. Honda. Kia/Hyundai. Alfa Romeo. Mercedes. I mean do you want me to list all the car manufacturers that do this? I've worked in car rental for 15 years. I drive new cars almost daily. They all have some kind of lockout for various features while the car is in motion. Some even make you put the car in Park first. Obviously most allow you to fiddle with the radio, though, which I agree is a distraction. However most models also permit some manipulation of the radio through the steering wheel controls, which is better. Tesla, though, makes you go through the screen for almost everything, which is BAD and I hate it. The Model 3 even makes you use the screen to access the side mirrors and the windshield wipers. Which is just...retarded. Because then you really are looking at the screen while driving. |
