July 5th 2022 Tennessee Knox County Deputy Lydia Driver was accidentally shot by her partner Jordan Hurst. A dog was chasing Driver before she fell and had the dog on top of her. Her partner then attempted to shoot the dog but missed and hit Driver |

What is that "dog" maybe 25 pounds soaking wet? Not a life threatening incident at all until barney fife started popping rounds off. Should have kicked the mutt away and sprayed it with OC, fido would be OK and overspray won't cause serious injury.

There are so many cases where they're trying to shoot dogs, often which aren't doing anything aside from barking, and then they miss and end up hitting someone else or themselves.

I hope the dog will be returned (assume it’s being monitored for rabies). It was just doing it’s job of protecting its home from strangers skulking around in the dark of night.
