Officer Fires As Vehicle Flees Near 300 W. Division Street
On October 13, 2024, Chicago police officers responded near 300 W. Division St. after a 911 call from a passenger who said other passengers in the vehicle they were riding in had weapons. Officers searched the area, found the vehicle, and ordered everyone inside to get out. The people in the vehicle did not comply. As officers engaged with them, the vehicle fled, and an officer discharged their firearm. Officers searched for the vehicle and found it abandoned a short time later.
