Off-duty Officer Shooting Near 1600 E. 95th St
On February 6, 2024, an off-duty Chicago Police officer was at a gas station near 1600 E. 95th Street in his personal vehicle. Another vehicle entered the parking lot and pulled behind the officer's vehicle. An individual got out and fired at the off-duty officer. The officer returned fire. Neither the individual nor the officer was struck by gunfire. No one was in custody, and no weapon was recovered at the scene. Listen to the 911 calls and dispatch audio for this incident here.
