Off-duty Officer Exchanges Gunfire Near 100 E. 57th St
On November 24, 2024, an off-duty Chicago police officer was involved in a shooting near 100 E. 57th St. The incident began as the off-duty officer was trying to enter a building. The officer saw an individual approaching and pointing a firearm in the officer's direction. The off-duty officer produced a firearm, and an exchange of gunfire followed.
