Obese Woman Steals 17 Bottles of Liquor
Shreveport Police have arrested a morbidly fat woman in connection with theft from a local liquor store. On Aug. 18, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the Thrifty Liquor Store, located at 420 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, in reference to a theft. Officers viewed the store video and observed a female conceal several bottles of alcoholic beverages on her person. Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers released video footage of the crime and shortly after, agents with the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office and Louisiana State Probation and Parole Office identified the alleged suspect as Sekonie Jones, 37, of the 3800 block of Murvon Street. Jones arrived at Shreveport City Jail Thursday morning and surrendered herself to investigators. She was charged with one count of misdemeanor theft. Original story: Shreveport Police are hoping the public can help them identify a woman caught on surveillance video stealing liquor from a local store. The woman captured in the video stuffing bottles in her bag and clothing. The theft occurred on Aug. 18 at a store on Bert Kouns where the woman made off with 18 bottles and only paid for one according to the report. |

Hahaha. They shamed her into surrendering herself by publicly having the footage broadcasted. I can imagine her reaction seeing herself on the news, and saying, "Oh, lordy be! Oh, lordy be! I heard the camera adds 10 pounds to you but I don't even look human here! I look like something that swims in the sea and gives birth to live young and ain't liddle!" |
