NYPD Officers Fire at Armed Man in Manhattan
On November 13, 2025, NYPD officers from the 19th Precinct responded in Manhattan after a 911 caller said he had a gun, was in trouble, and that someone was trying to kill him. The caller gave the area of Mount Sinai Hospital and said he was in Manhattan. Officers checked the area near 96th Street and Park Avenue while trying to locate the caller. A possible location was given as 1361 Madison, and an officer reported that the man had a firearm. Officers confronted him and repeatedly ordered him to drop it. Shots were fired. The NYPD Force Investigation Division and the prosecutor with jurisdiction continued the investigation.
