Re: News Station Crew Tapes Foot Chase and Arrest on Rocks Near a River
Yep, not fake....here is the info!! GLADSTONE, Ore. -- Dramatic video shows a man doing everything he can to escape police in Oregon. Deputies in Clackamas County said Donald Evanger, 40, stole a car at gunpoint Monday night. When officers spotted the car Tuesday, a dramatic chase began. The video shows Evanger running over boulders and even jumping into the fr More..igid Clackamas River to escape deputies and a sheriff's canine in hot pursuit. Evanger tried to swim against the rapids, attempting a back stroke attempt, but to no avail. "He realized, I think, that that was a bad judgment," sheriff's deputy Sam Eason said. "Then he came out, but didn't comply with what he was told." The video shows an exhausted Evanger pulling himself out of the 50-degree water. Officers said he refused to comply with commands, and one of the officers had to use a stun gun on Evanger after they said he reached for a handgun in his waistband. "When he was Tasered, he was showing some kind of weapon," Eason said. "Turned out to be a fake gun, but it looked very real." This was not Evanger's first run-in in the law. Officers said he has a long rap sheet dating back to his teenage years |
