Nepalese Man Thrown Down By Friend

A Nepalese man was killed after he was involved in a fight before he was thrown off his friend from the third floor of Hostel Green Prospect located in a glove manufacturing plant in Kampung Acheh, here yesterday.

Manjung District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hanif Othman said the 30-year-old victim died at the Seri Manjung Hospital at about 10.30am yesterday.

He said his department received reports on the incident at 2.09 am early yesterday.

"The victim who is also a factory worker is understood to have quarreled with another worker in the factory in a drunken state before the victim was lifted and thrown from the corridor on the third floor of the hostel.

"The victims who were seriously injured were then taken to hospital before dying, but the suspects, who are also Nepalese living in the hostel, have fled," he said in a statement here tonight.

Muhammad Hanif said the victim's body was sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Forensic Unit (HRPB) for a post-mortem. He said the police are currently tracking the suspects and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
