HORRIFIC footage of a man crawling from his two attackers as he is shot at multiple times outside a gay sex club has been made public after it was shown at the trial of a man charged with attempted murder.

The CCTV footage was played at the trial of Milad Bin Ahmad-Shah al-Ahmadzai, 25, who refuses to stand for judges, and shows one of two masked men kicking the wounded victim, Michael Rooke, as he crawled away before shooting him a further three times in the torso.

A terrified Mr Rooke, then 52, can then be seen screaming and hammering on the door of Aarows club at Rydalmere before yanking it open and collapsing inside in the foyer while his attackers flee.

He then screams and writhes on the floor and tries to reach up to a small side table.

Crown prosecutor Craig Everson told the court Mr Rooke sustained numerous injuries including a ruptured kidney and lacerated liver but survived being shot four times.

Al-Ahmadzai has pleaded not guilty to six charges including shooting with intent to murder on May 1 2013.

Mr Everson alleged al-Ahmadzai was not the shooter but he “aided and abetted the man who did the shooting”.

Mr Rooke gave evidence on Tuesday via a video screen that at about 12.30am he walked from the sex club to his vehicle in an underground carpark and found that a white van was blocking his exit.

He went back into the club to alert the manager and when he returned to his vehicle he saw two people squatting down on the other side of the car.

“It was dark but I remember their faces were covered with shirts or something and I could see a weapon in one of their hands … it was a pistol.”

Mr Rooke said he ran back to the club as he was shot at numerous times.

“In those last few metres I was just crawling,” he said.

Mr Rooke managed to get back inside the club, where he lost consciousness. He woke up in hospital five days later.

Under cross examination by defence barrister Scott Corish, Mr Rooke said at the time of the shooting he was supplying amphetamine to several people to “supplement his income”, but he had no drug debts.

Al-Ahmadzai was sentenced to nine months’ jail last year for threatening to slit the throat and crack the neck of an ASIO officer.

The trial continues.

Al-Ahmadzai has refused to stand up in courts for well over a year, claiming he is “not at the behest of any authority other than Islam”.

His ongoing defiance also incurred the wrath of Western Sydney MPs, who yesterday said he should be left to “rot in jail” until he learns manners.

Ms Upton wrote to Solicitor-General Michael Sexton SC last night ordering him to consider contempt charges.

“I have also sought advice from the Department of Justice for possible changes to the law so accused persons show respect for *judicial officers and our system of justice,” she said.

Mr Sexton has the power to prosecute al-Ahmadzai, 25, who did not stand for Judge Gregory Farmer SC yesterday as his trial for car theft and *attempted murder continued at Parramatta District Court.
