Men Throw Bricks at Police Car Smashing Windshield During Chase
This is the shocking moment two thugs launched bricks at the windscreen of a police car, injuring an officer. The staggering footage shows Carl Foley, 33, and Karl Waring, 22, hurl the bricks at the police car after their vehicle was stopped in Kirkby. Police released the video after the law caught up with both men who have been jailed for a number of offences. The Volvo estate they were in was stopped in Cherryfield Lane on Tuesday, February 1. The video shows the men jumping out of the car and throwing bricks at the police car - severely damaging the windscreen of the police vehicle and showering a police officer in glass. The Volvo made off at speed and although police chased the car they managed to give police the slip on the M57. However following extensive enquiries, the men, both of no fixed abode, were arrested and charged with various offences. Following guilty pleas, Karl Waring was sentenced to five years 6 months imprisonment for affray, possession with intent to supply cannabis and Carl Foley was sentenced to two years nine months jail for affray, dangerous driving and disqualified driving.  Inspector Mike McFall of Matrix Serious and Organised Crime, Roads Policing Unit said: "We welcome these sentences, which should serve as a warning to anyone else considering taking such reckless action against police. "These two dangerous offenders believed in using violence to aid their escape from police, and in doing so showed complete disregard for the safety of police and towards other road users. "Unfortunately for Waring and Foley, they only succeeded in raising their profile as a risk to the public, which resulted in a joint investigation by Sefton CID and Matrix Serious and Organised Crime unit and, ultimately, substantial terms of imprisonment." |

OMG I thought they just threw that the car while moviing. Those guys just straight up parked and got out, even the driver  |
