Animal-rights protesters blocked Westminster Bridge in London from shortly after 10 a.m. on February 14, 2023. Two supporters staged a candlelit dinner at a table in the carriageway behind a banner, with one masked as the prime minister and the other representing the animal-farming and fishing industries. They called on the government to end its support for those industries in favor of a plant-based food system.

Traffic was blocked toward St Thomas' Hospital before the road reopened at about 11:10 a.m. Five protesters were arrested on suspicion of obstructing the highway and taken to a west London police station. A sixth person, a member of the public rather than a police officer, was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm for assaulting a protester. The man who dragged a protester from the road was wearing civilian clothes, while uniformed officers stood nearby. The outcomes of the six arrests are not on the public record.
