MDSO Deputy Shoots Homicide Person of Interest at Rolling Oaks Park
On September 14, 2025, an MDSO deputy was at Rolling Oaks Park near 183 and 17th Avenue with a person of interest in a Pembroke Pines homicide. The deputy said the man was walking through the park and asked for uniformed units to come help take him into custody. The deputy followed the man and told him to come over and relax. As backup arrived, officers said the man was going to his pocket and shouted for backup. They addressed him as Isaiah and repeatedly told him not to do it. Shots were fired. Afterward, officers told Isaiah to show his hands, take his hand out of his pants, and said they were going to help him. One officer told him, "You're not going to die."
