Video shows a young man threatening to burn himself as he was carrying a lighter in his hands, and when security and civil defense personnel tried to prevent him from doing so, he set himself on fire, which led to injuries. Notably two security personnel were injured due to their attempts to stop him.

The Palestinian Police spokesman Colonel Louai Zureikat told that one of the security personnel were "seriously" injured while the other one had moderate injuries.

Zureikat announced that the young man is currently in a hospital and his health condition is "above average."

He indicated that the reason for the young man’s threats to burn himself in front of a building in Jenin is to demand the release of his brother who is currently imprisoned.
