Taos, NM - A Taos man who baited police officers with abusive language before he was hauled off to jail claims those police officers got too rough with him, and the interaction was all caught on tape.

Police officers often have to put up with cursing, threats and a lot more. But at what point are they allowed to say enough is enough.

Frank Olonia, Jr. and Taos Police are familiar with each. Olonia requested and obtained all the police officer’s video from their call involving him just before 2 a.m. on June 10.

The video shows the interactions escalating between Olonia and the police officers. Police tried to diffuse the situation, but a comment Olonia made against one officer and his children intensified matters.

Olonia said he plans on suing the police department for violating his rights and for brutality.
