Man Shot Trying to Stop a Robbery
On 14th June 2018, in a shop in the Alfredo Nascimento neighborhood, 27 year old José Eduardo Soares Junior was shot at. 2 men arrived on a motorbike + announced that they were robbing the place. 1 of the men was armed with a gun, José tried to disarm him but was shot doing so. The 2 men fled with a stolen phone + some money. José was shot in his chest + the bullet pierced one of his lungs. He is in a serious condition at the local hospital. 23 year old Luan Pantoja Nogueira was arrested. The gunman, 23 year old Gedean do Carmo Laredo, is being sought by the police.
