New York: A video that the police released this week of a shooting in Brooklyn shows the exacting care with which a group of criminals can handle a deadly weapon.

Before Tyquan Sewall, 18, was shot in daylight hours on Tuesday outside a McDonald's in Flatbush, the gun that struck him down was passed from hand to hand to hand until it was pointed at Mr. Sewall's head and fired, then fired four more times.

The series of maneuvers plays out in the video: About 3 p.m., a man wearing black and walking backward hands a black bag to a man wearing a white T-shirt, who takes the weapon, a .32-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, from the bag and puts it in his waistband.

Then, as the group heads into the McDonald's, at 2154 Nostrand Avenue, the man in the T-shirt apparently hands the gun to a man in a red jacket. That man emerges from the restaurant's threshold and fires.

The victim was grazed in the head, then hit in the abdomen, left leg and groin, with shots still coming as he rolled across the street.

He was in critical but stable condition on Thursday night at Kings County Hospital Center, the police said. The suspects were still being sought.

Of the relay involving the weapon, which the police later recovered, Paul J. Browne, the department's chief spokesman, said, "It was an elaborate choreography of handing off the gun."

yea, when i found the vid initially, it didn't have the story nor was it clear if he lived through it, i just seen where he was shot and started rolling away wondering if more people would come rolling along too...

its strange that the guy who did it runs back into the shop. Shouldnt the victim be rolling into the shop and the gunman running away from the scene?
