Daytona Beach police officers are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a man who punched a 76-year-old woman.

The victim told investigators that she was walking northbound on S. Ridgewood Avenue when she was approached by a stranger who twice asked, “Where's the freaking police?"

She said she was confused and didn't respond to the man, who then struck her on the left side of her face with a closed fist, causing her to fall to the ground.

Authorities said the woman may have suffered a broken nose, had a bruised left eye and possible brain swelling.

The suspect is described as a white man with blond hair, between the ages of 30 to 35. He was last seen wearing a black, white and red shirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

The Daytona Beach Police Department is offering a $ 5000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
