June 1, 2021. Drunk guy crashes and flips his car, fleeing the scene. Paris Police, track the vehicle back to Colton Carico and arrive at his residence. Carico initially refused to speak about the incident and denied he was involved. Carico then goes back inside his home and later comes out brandishing a rifle pointing it at his head saying "i'll blow my fucking brains out right now". Carico then walks back into the house and is shot by Officer Bristow in the spine leaving him paralyzed.

These situations are so completely avoidable. Just answer the fucking door, do as requested and bullets won’t be flying. The poor woman who witnessed the shooting.. and just one more reason I am so glad that’s not my job.
