Coata Rica. A female veterinarian was brutally attacked with a hammer by a man who reportedly came to the clinic seeking the professional who had treated his cat a few days prior.

According to preliminary reports, the man had brought his pet to the clinic a week earlier for medical attention, but apparently, he was not satisfied with the service.

He then took the cat to another veterinarian, where the animal reportedly died.

A week later, the man unexpectedly returned to the clinic and went directly to the veterinarian and began hitting her with a hammer.

The attacker was beaten by people who defended the veterinarian before he was arrested by police.

The man underwent a psychiatric evaluation, so he wasn't transferred to a correctional facility.
