A man was stabbed during a robbery at the Boiúna BRT station, in Taquara, West Zone of Rio, late Sunday night. According to the Civil Police, Pablo Felipe Lima Bernardo was buying his single ticket card on a machine installed at the site when he was surrounded by eight men, who jumped the turnstile, stole his backpack, got into a fight and fled. Security camera footage captured the action of the criminals.

Two military police officers working in the BRT Seguro program were called by passengers around 10:30 pm. When they arrived at the Boiúna station, they found Pablo injured and sent him to the Albert Schweitzer Hospital, in Realengo, where he received care and has since been released.

Soon after, the PMs were informed that the bandits had fled to a nearby condominium. At the scene, they found about 50 residents who identified and tried to lynch at least two of the criminals, who were taken to the Lourenço Jorge Municipal Hospital.

Luciano Karl Klages da Silva Julio and Victor Hugo da Silva Mello were caught red-handed and taken to the 32nd DP (Taquara). Three other teenagers who were with them were apprehended.

According to investigations by delegate Alessandro Petralanda, Pablo's cell phone and the knife used in the crime were found with one of the youths. Three victims were also present at the police station who recognized the five criminals.

According to the Public Order Secretariat (Seop), between Friday and today agents of the BRT Seguro Program registered 13 arrests after incidents of robbery, theft, sexual harassment and contempt at stations in the West Zone of Rio.
