Salem, MO A man from Salem, Missouri is being held in the Dent County Jail for allegedly ramming a Highway Patrol cruiser with his truck.

Dent County Sheriff Bob Wofford says the man was caught on video, ramming his truck into the side of the patrol car while it was parked outside the Dent County courthouse.

A 2nd car parked next the cruiser was also damaged by the impact. Allen Gott, 57, was arrested just a few minutes later at a local motel, Wofford said.

Gott faces two charges of first degree property damage and leaving the scene of an accident.
Wofford said Gott is currently on probation for a similar crime at the Salem Police Department several months ago.
