A handcuffed woman was ejected from a moving Los Angeles Police Department patrol car, in a dramatic incident that left her seriously injured and raised questions about the involved officers' version of how the fall occurred.

In the early morning hours on March 17, after a night out in Koreatown, 28-year-old Kim Nguyen and two friends were waiting in a restaurant parking lot for a sober friend to pick them up, Nguyen said in an interview with The Times.

So, this is what happened, in my opinion:

Two horny asian cops see a drunk asian chick with two drunk asian guys, they wait for her to be alone, they pick her up, one drives, the other tries to rape her in the back of the car.

She is handcuffed behind her back, and while cop tries to grope her, she pushes her back up against the passenger door trying to put distance between her and the cop, hits the door handle, door opens, she topples out. Only way it makes sense to me.

sounds about right. but there are no handles inside a cop cars back seat......(trust me)
so the door must not have been shut all the way to start with

Apparently, she was getting sexually assaulted while in the car. The lady filed a lawsuit against the LAPD and was awarded $35 million according to the article.
