Kevin "Tugg" Watson Shot Dead on Facebook Live in Chicago, 2025
Kevin "Tugg" Watson, 42, was fatally shot while broadcasting on Facebook Live from a parked car in Chicago's South Austin neighborhood on August 13, 2025. Police said a vehicle approached him in a parking lot in the 5000 block of West Madison Street shortly after 6 p.m., and someone inside fired a handgun. Watson suffered a chest wound and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. About 11 minutes into the broadcast, he greeted someone before moving out of the camera's view. A gunshot and a vehicle speeding away could then be heard. His sister, Shamika Watson, said she believed he had been targeted for his "Tugg" necklace. Police gave no motive and said no one was in custody as of August 15. |
