Does seem like excessive force, but it'd be interesting to see that body camera footage, to see if he was indeed trying to talk tough to the cop at first. "I don't have to listen to you" is not something you say to a cop, whether you like them or not.

i am genuinely baffled as to why all the users on this forum are like you. why are you all so... sedated? do you not have eyes?
