Internal Investigation After a Cop Fired 7 Shots at a Truck Driven by a 14 Yo
MANITOWOC, Wis. The Manitowoc Police Department is conducting an internal investigation after an officer fired 7 shots at a truck driven by a 14-year-old Illinois boy.

The department says the boy was speeding through Manitowoc in a stolen pickup truck. The legal age to hold a driver's license in Illinois is 16.

The police department released video of the June 12 police chase. The footage from dashboard cameras shows the pickup truck hitting a squad car driven by Officer Larry Perronne, slamming into a utility pole, backing up and taking off again.

Perronne gets out of his car and fires at the fleeing truck, which is soon pulled over.

State officials decided against charging Perronne, but he still faces the internal investigation.

He should be terminated at min and anyone else not wearing a badge would be charged with a crime. Kid was ZERO threat to officer firing gun.

Are you retarded? He rammed the police car, and was driving WAY over the speed limit, and was willing to ram other cars (as evidenced by the fact that he rammed a police officer). He was a definitely a danger to others. Or do you think that driving 50mph+ in a residential area is safe?

Speed limits aren't arbitrary. Yes, they drive like that every day without killing anyone. That doesn't mean it's safe. People also drink insane amounts of alcohol, then drive without killing anyone.

And in neither case are you allowed to open fire on them, regardless if you are a cop or not. Same as in this video.
