in the Dhankawadi area of the city a minor argument started between two groups led to a major fight leading to one group using sickle to attack another group members. The incident took place on Tuesday at around 9:30 pm was captured on CCTV cameras.

The injured person has been identified as Rishi Barde. His brother, Aditya Rajendra Barde (22), a resident of Ghungarwadi Chawl, Santosh Nagar, Katraj has lodged a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station in the matter.

According to reports, the complainant Aditya and his brother Rishi were sitting with their friends at a tea stall near Bharati Vidyapeeth Bank Market. Aditya made fun of Siddhesh which turned into an argument and later escalated further following which he was attacked with a sickle by Siddhesh and his brother Rishi causing serious injuries to him.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras. After Aditya filed a complaint at the police station, the accused identified as Siddhesh Chorghe, Om Sawant, Aditya Gosavi, Raj Paradeshi, and Sonya Khule have been charged under sections 307, 143, 147, 148, 149, 323, 504, 505(2), Arms Act 4(25), and Maharashtra Police Act 37(1)(3) and 135. Bharati Vidyapeeth Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
