He knew he was surrounded with guns pointing, there’s no way he thought he would just blast his way out. The bodycams of the other cops need to be released, like from the cop on the other side of the car.

Actually everything was released by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) but the volume of video evidence is too overwhelming to upload to DR. I've added a couple more videos at the beginning of the thread. |

Yes. They were part of a multi-agency crime suppression task force with the prime objective of getting guns off the street. They were all wearing tactical heavy vests with cloth badges, police insignia, handcuffs, radios, holsters, etc., when they approached the suspect vehicle. There's no doubt that this idiot knew they were cops, if that was your question... |

Assuming he shot. Like you said there is no clear footage of him shooting. Did they check the bullet that struck the officer?

Check out the slowmo footage from the doorbell cam above. It's very clear that Reed fired the first shots that hit the officer standing at the passenger window. Forensics recovered six freshly expended shell casings along with the gun from inside the suspect vehicle while gunshot residue was recovered from the suspect's hands. Ballistics confirmed he shot the officer. |
