A tragic incident occurred in Anápolis, where a man was filmed assaulting and subsequently fatally shooting his ex-wife inside their business establishment. The event unfolded on March 28 at an automotive parts store located in the Jundiaí neighborhood, approximately 55 kilometers from Goiânia.

Authorities reported that the assailant, identified as the ex-husband of Regiane Pires da Silva, was captured on video entering the store's office, where he slapped the victim before discharging a firearm. The altercation resulted in da Silva's death at the scene.

Wllisses Valentim, the overseeing police chief, mentioned that the couple was undergoing divorce proceedings, which he believes could have motivated the attack. The suspect was apprehended in Araguaçu, Tocantins, on the day of the incident.

Legal representatives for the accused have yet to review the complete case files and are awaiting an upcoming custody hearing. The couple, who co-owned two automotive parts stores, were each in separate offices at the time of the incident. According to Valentim, the suspect crossed into the victim's office and fired four shots, three of which struck da Silva.

Following an investigation, law enforcement officials in Goiás located the vehicle and firearm used in the crime. The ex-husband faces charges of femicide as the case continues to unfold.
