How a Booth Owner in Tbilisi Resisted an Armed Robber
On May 8, a gunman attacked a foreign exchange booth near the Didube metro station and demanded money from a booth employee for threatening to kill him. A foreign exchange officer resisted the attacker after the robber opened fire on the owner of the booth and stabbed him in the leg. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: How a Booth Owner in Tbilisi Resisted an Armed Robber
"OBVIOULSY, what the guy MEANT to do, was jump onto the metro tracks as a train was arriving. He was certainly suicidal. I know it looks like I dragged him down there and threw him in front of an arriving train, but I assure you, I was trying to STOP him from jumping on the tracks. I just wasn't strong enough to save him, that's all! You can clearly hear me yelling "Don't jump in front of the train!", even as I was pushing him. Uh.....I mean, even as I was trying to keep him off the tracks. He was a very determined man, that's all. Sorry about that, officer"
