Home Invasion & Bank Robbery (Vid & 911 Call)

Newly released 911 calls and surveillance video from a violent crime spree in Volusia County.

Investigators said three men held a man at gunpoint in his garage, tied him up and then stole his car, all before robbing a bank in Orange City on Wednesday.

Investigators said the men were caught in the surveillance video robbing a TD Bank. The video shows the three men forcing elderly customers to the ground and even firing off random shots.

The teller at the Orange City TD Bank was frantically trying to describe the suspects to a 911 operator.

"All three of them had on Halloween, um, they had on skeleton masks," said the 911 caller.

Less than four minutes into the 911 call, the operator realizes a connection.

"It's the people that, Mike, it's the home invasion people," says the 911 operator. "It's, it's a white Lincoln Town Car, isn't that what they stole? Yeah, it's the same, it's the same car."

She's referring to Luis Pagan's car and the call he made to 911 from his DeBary home that same day.

"I was in the garage and two guys just pulled two guns on me and stole my car," he told the 911 operator.
"It's a 1995 white Lincoln Town Car."

Pagan told the operator the men who robbed him were also wearing masks before they tied him up and took his car.

"They tied me up with a fan cord and telephone wire on my legs and I got loose," he said. "I guess they were just looking for transportation."

Later, detectives said the three men ditched Pagan's car after they robbed the bank, and then got into another car before crashing it in a chase with police on 17-92.

The men then fled on foot into nearby woods, but were quickly captured. One suspect was bitten by a police K-9 and was later transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford for treatment.

No one else was injured. The names and charges of the three men in custody will be released when they are available.
