Las Vegas police are searching for a driver who, in a burst of road rage, ran over an elderly man.
The shocking incident, captured on surveillance cameras at a Las Vegas gas station, left the unidentified older man writhing in pain on the ground as the driver sped away.
The trouble started around noon Feb. 6 when the victim drove into a gas station on Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard.
The man told police that the moment he pulled in, a gray Honda Accord pulled right in front of him.
The older man had to swerve quickly in order to avoid hitting the Accord.
As the victim was walking toward the convenience store to pay, the gray Accord swung back around and screeched to halt, inches away from the victim’s knees.
After a brief back and forth, the driver slammed on the gas pedal. His victim disappears underneath the car, his red baseball cap flying into the air.
"The guy was on the floor for 10 minutes, screaming," gas station employee Sheyla Rodriguez told.
The driver was described as a white man in his 30s. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. His car was a 2010 or 2011 model Honda Accord with tinted rear windows.
Witnesses could only catch the first two digits of his California license plate—6C.
The victim was treated for serious injuries at University Medical Center.
Police is treating the incident as an attempted murder case.
