bad cop training. if perosn resists, free up your arms and reasses. other cop should've come along his side and got pushed down when other cop ran for his life. Though i'm sure he wasn't expecting it to get sidways.

you always go in triangle formation. Complacency is what gets cops killed. when i backup up primary, i was always at an angle with clear view with hand on gun just in case. esp whe it's an astronaut.

never ever try to pull someone out of car, if they're resisting - call for backup or get into better position and pull out firearms. Many will stop fightin fi they see gun pointed at them.
