Military police arrested a suspect, after an attempt to escape on a public road, on Wednesday (17) in the north of Ribeirão Preto.
According to information from the PM, during patrol in the region, they signaled for the driver to stop for investigation and, at this moment, not following the demonstration of the police, accelerated the vehicle in an attempt to escape.
In the ensuing follow-up, the driver, when making a turn, collided with a parked car and landed through the side windshield, but could not go very far.
Detained, he was taken to the Judiciary Police Center where the occurrence was registered. Police officers presented jewelry and watches seized inside the suspect's car and he was charged with receiving money.
A background check at the Civil Police revealed a criminal record.
