A 23-year-old suspect was arrested in the act of attempting to kill the victim. Police found messages on his cell phone in which he stated he was going to kill her.

The main suspect in the crime, who is the victim's ex-partner , was arrested in flagrante after seeking medical attention at the same hospital where the young woman was admitted.

The victim was attacked upon arriving at a condominium accompanied by her child's father.

She was riding on the back of a motorcycle and, as soon as she got off the vehicle, she was surprised by the suspect.

She suffered a stab wound to the chest and, according to family members, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The suspect left the crime scene after the victim fled and, some time later, was admitted to the same hospital where the victim had been taken. He had injuries to his hand, but did not say what had happened. During treatment, the young man was recognized by military police and arrested on the spot.

On the young man's cell phone, police found messages in which he stated he was going to kill the woman. He was arrested on charges of attempted femicide and will be transferred to the prison system as soon as he is discharged from the hospital.
