The Military Police arrested, on the night of this last Monday (17/5), a man who fell with his motorcycle on a staircase , after trying to escape the vehicle for having stolen an application car and two motorcycles. According to the PM, the boy fell on Avenida Tereza Cristina, in the western region of Belo Horizonte, and was taken to the João XXIII Hospital. As stated in the police report, at 7:10 pm, the owner of the application car sought the community base of the PM in Bairro Salgado Filho and reported that two motorcycles approached his vehicle, a Renault Sandero, which was taken by the suspects along with their personal documents, R $ 480 and the cell phone. Still according to the bulletin, the victim was threatened with a firearm and the men asked him not to run if they did not shoot. The owner of the vehicle described them as two black men, and one was taller. According to the PM, the vehicle was found on Rua Emídio Beruto, in the Cinquentenário neighborhood, in the western region of BH. Soon after, the vehicle received a call that two Honda motorcycles had been stolen in front of a bakery on Rua Maria Heilbuth Surette, in Bairro Buritis, in the same region. The policemen went to check the occurrence and saw that the characteristics of the suspects were the same as those of the theft of the application vehicle. The military tracked down and found the two motorcycles on Rua José Basílio, in Bairro Parque São José, where the persecution began. Even with stop orders triggered by vehicle lights and audible calls, the motorcyclists did not stop, and one of them veered off to Rua Três Fazendas, in Betânia, while the other continued on to Emídio Beruto being chased. On the trail, the motorcycle rider tried to descend a staircase, but ended up falling on Avenida Tereza Cristina. The car that was chasing him tried to follow the same path, but got stuck in the railing of the stairs. The man who fell from the staircase is 18 years old and was taken to the João XXIII Hospital. The police officers of the vehicle that was seized were seen at the Military Police Hospital and released shortly thereafter. The other suspect fled and has not yet been found. The app driver's car and belongings were recovered and handed over to the owner.  |
