French Police Shooting at Motorist That Threatened to 'put Bombs All Over Town'
Video shows the moment three members of the French National Police shoot the driver of a car after he threatened to "put bombs all over town". Officers can be seen trying to smash the windows of a grey Renault Scenic and ordering the man to "get out of the car". After the police moved one of the cars boxing the man's vehicle in, he tried to drive off to a nearby street but was then shot by one of the officer. He was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. Reports suggest the man was wielding a knife during his confrontation with the police and that explosives were later found in the car. The shooting tool place in the Kennedy estate of Chalette-sur-Loing, some 70 miles from Paris. According to the local police, the man was known to the force and had been living on the estate with his mother as he underwent medical treatment for psychiatric issues. Online newspaper France Bleu reported the man had been seen earlier around town brandishing a knife and threatening passersby. A first group of officers attended the scene but were forced to call in support. France remains under a state of emergency after it was repeatedly targeted by terror attacks carried out by the Islamic State (ISIS) using cars and knives. The General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN) put the armed officers under formal investigation and may face charges should they be found to have used excessive force during the confrontation. French National Police has been under public scrutiny ever since an officer was charged with the rape of a 22-year-old during a violent arrest in the Parisian suburb of Aulnay-sous-Bois.   |

Fuck yeah, French police have been repeatedly beaten into submission about time they started shooting back . Perhaps not in such a dangerous manor next time though.  |
