Fort Collins Cop Throws Woman Face First into the Ground During Arrest
In a statement, Fort Collins Police Services Sgt. Dean Cunningham said Michaella Surat, who turned 22 years old Wednesday, had physically obstructed and struck an officer. The officer then used standard procedure to subdue her, Cunningham said. “A supervisor will review all information available, witness statements and video etc, as part of a standard review (of use-of-force incidences),” Cunningham said. “No decisions have been made yet.” Officers were initially called to the area for a disturbance between two men, one of whom was Surat’s boyfriend. As officers were talking to employees about the incident, Surat shoulder-checked a bouncer and an officer, trying to pull away her boyfriend, Cunningham said. An officer told her she was free to leave but not her boyfriend. At this point, police say she obstructed and struck the officer. Body camera video recorded the incident but has not been released as the case is open, police say. Surat, 22, was identified by police and jail records. Surat was booked into Larimer County Jail following her arrest but has posted her $1,750 bond. Surat, who was formally charged with third-degree assault and obstructing a peace officer, is due in court on Wednesday |

I dunno...the police said she obstructed and hit one of them but we don't see that, the only evidence (so far) is this clip of an officer taking her down pretty hard...let's be honest, she wasn't gunna be running away from anyone in those heels. They told her she was free to go at one point...so with a good enough lawyer she might
