The first video is raw bodycam footage. Second, is a short narrated recap with details. The last 3+min video is kind of a hero puff piece interview that describes what the officer experienced in his own words.
Tallahassee, (March 25, 2024) — Six months after a home invasion occurred and left a Tallahassee Police Department officer shot, TPD has released body-cam footage showing what unfolded.
On September 25, 2023, the injured officer, who TPD identified as officer Caleb Babb, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and taken into surgery after responding to an overnight home invasion robbery on the 2300 block of Sandpiper Street.
Officer Babb was confronted by an armed suspect who shot him in the right leg. Video from the officer's body-cam shows massive hemorrhaging to his leg as he quickly applies a tourniquet to himself.
The robbery was apparently drug related. Three suspects escaped, including the shooter, and a reward has been offered for information leading to their arrest.
UPDATE: Three suspects were arrested after ten days.
