Female Motorist Going 140 Mph in Police Chase Crashes Her Chevvy Malibu
The incident began when Arkansas state patrol officers spotted a Chevrolet Malibu traveling at nearly 80 mph in a construction site – an area with a strict speed limit of 45 mph. When the officers sounded their sirens to signal her to stop, the female driver not only refused to comply but also recklessly accelerated, reaching a terrifying 140 mph. During a highway chase, the sedan swerved continuously across lanes in an attempt to shake off the police car. However, at high speeds, every mistake is costly. As it entered a right-hand curve, while the police officer deliberately slowed down for safety, the Malibu maintained its speed and quickly lost control. The dashcam captured the terrifying moment the car skidded off the road, kicking up dust before crashing head-on into the wire-barrier. The impact sent the vehicle flipping over multiple times on the highway. When the dust settled, the scene was a pile of wreckage with scattered debris, but strangely, the sound system inside the overturned car continued playing music. The female driver was identified as Krista Bunch. She was trapped in the crumpled cabin and had to be rescued by emergency services. At the police station, Bunch explained that she was "panicked" and in a hurry to attend to personal matters, so she decided to flee despite the danger. Despite miraculously surviving the horrific accident, Krista Bunch now faces a series of serious charges, incl. fleeing from law enforcement, speeding, dangerous driving, and property damage.
