March 29, 2024. Officers from Sparks PD made a traffic stop on 34 year old, Anthony Wade. As an officer was approaching the window, Wade immediately fired his pistol striking the officer in the head, neck, and one lodged in his vest. Wade drives off and gets T-boned by a Fedex vehicle. Minutes after a 911 call is reported that Wade has broken into a home and was stabbed by a women who was inside, he then runs off.

Police begin going door-to-door to inform residents to be on the lookout for Wade. Another 911 call is made and this time Wade is holding a women hostage in her home, as police entered the residence Wade fires off more shots hitting 2 more cops. The hostage is dragged out and brought behind a patrol car.

After the second ambush, Wade jumps the backyard fence and breaks into another home, a 3rd 911 call is made and a women has barricaded herself in the bathroom. telling the dispatcher "Please god break down the front door and come in". Wade exits the home hiding behind a shack & the hostage is released.

for the next 5 hours SWAT try to negotiate with Wade to give up and exit the home. Members of the SWAT enter through the garage where they are ambushed again for the 3rd time by Wade, he is killed in this interaction. For 2 hours with no movement or engagement from Wade a TEMS medic unit was sent and Anthony G. Wade was declared dead on scene.
