Police have identified the man they believe to be responsible for knocking a woman unconscious and kidnapping her from a New Orleans hotel.
The New Orleans Police Department has issued a warrant for Elvin Terrell, 35. He's wanted for Domestic Battery, Simple Kidnapping, and Cruelty to a Juvenile.
Surveillance cameras at the hotel located in the 300 block of Loyola Ave. captured the disturbingly violent crime.
The video shows a man believed to be Terrell hitting a woman and knocking her to the ground. He then picks her up and drags her outside. She is clearly unconscious the entire time.
A second woman is seen in the video and she appears to be pleading with the man to stop what he's doing. She is seen taking a picture of the license plate of the man's car.
Officials have not released any information regarding the identities of the females in the video.
Additionally, police are working to understand how a 6-year-old boy is connected to this case. The child was found alone in a hotel room that had been rented to one of the individuals involved in this case.
A woman claiming to be the child's mother spoke to detectives on the phone. However, they say they've been unable to confirm that because the woman refuses to cooperate with police.
The child was unharmed and was placed into protective custody.
Elvin Terrell has turned himself into police, according to NOPD.
The suspect in the beating and kidnapping that occurred outside of Holiday Inn, has been charged with one count of Domestic Kidnapping, Child Desertation, Child Endangering, and Cruelty to a Juvenile.
