He was armed with a gun, and had a full-body tattoo with a haunting image of hatred, depicting a Metro police officer in a choke-hold.

A man who opened fire on Metro police officers inside a Las Vegas Walmart had been arrested as recently as July, authorities said Monday.

Marc Hull, 25, was killed in Friday's shootout, but not before wounding one of the officers who responded to the store at Rainbow Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road.

According to an arrest report, Hull and his girlfriend, Carrie Reed, embarked on a 4 a.m. shopping spree in the store's electronics section, loading up more than $4,000 worth of items, including a video game and Blu-ray DVD player.

They attempted to pay with a credit card belonging to Albert Webster, a man who died in 2000, according to Reed's arrest report.

Police were called after the card was rejected, and when officers confronted Hull they said he pulled a handgun from his waistband and started shooting.

One officer was struck several times but saved by a bulletproof vest.

In the arrest report, Reed said she suspected the credit card was illegitimate. Police said they also found social security and credit information on other people in her purse, which Reed claimed she obtained from the Turbo Tax website.

Police said Reed has prior arrests for burglary, theft, obtaining property under false pretenses and possession of a controlled substance.

A booking photo of Hull was released to the media Monday, from an arrest in July. Police did not release details of the arrest.

Hull did not have a home address and was believed to be staying on the couch of his grandmother's apartment.

Meanwhile, the names of the Metro officers involved in the shooting have been released. They are:

Officer Michael Ramirez
Officer John Abel
Officer Corey Staheli
Officer Beaumont Hopson.
Officer Ramirez is 36 years of age and has been employed with L.V.M.P.D. since January, 2006. Officer Ramirez was injured during this incident.
Officer Abel is 33 years of age and has been employed with the L.V.M.P.D. since January, 2007.
Officer Staheli is 29 years of age and has been employed with the L.V.M.P.D. since November, 2006.
Officer Hopson is 45 years of age and has been employed with the L.V.M.P.D. since September, 2005.

Can't they charge her with murder since someone died during the commision of the felony that they were commiting? Either way, I'm sure they'll throw the book at her just as hard as the system will let them throw it...she's a career criminal

im taking . just a guess, but it would seem to me that the felony murder law can only extend during the commision of the crime that all people in the said crime were in... the crime was over .. they were being takin in by the cops and he acted alone at that point.... ..my guess
