The incident happened in an airport baggage claim area in russia. According to law enforcement, a passenger arriving on a Cairo-Moscow flight approached the child, lifted him above his head and threw him forcefully to the floor.

As seen on airport cameras, the boy is standing next to a small suitcase when a man approaches him from behind. The passenger then grabs the child and throws him down. Other adults soon arrived to help the baby, who was no longer breathing.

As a result of the strong blow to the head, the boy immediately lost consciousness. The airport doctors quickly provided him with first aid, after which he was taken to the hospital accompanied by one of his parents.

The detainee was a man born in 1994. The motives for his actions are yet to be determined. An investigation has been launched into the incident, during which the severity of the harm to the child's health will be determined and a decision will be made in accordance with the law.

According to the regional children's rights commissioner Ksenia Mishonova, the boy suffered skull fractures, but his brain was not damaged. The child is currently in the L. M. Roshal Children's Clinical Center. Doctors have put him into a drug-induced sleep.

The parents live in Moscow. They have another child, and the wife is pregnant. All this is incredibly difficult to bear they told.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the fact of attempted murder of a child. He can face up to 20 years of prison time.
