Driver Reacts To Robbery & Runs Over Suspect An attempted robbery in the neighborhood of Curicica, in the west of Rio de Janeiro, ended with the death of one of the suspects. The crime, which occurred on the 8th on Porto Vitória street, gained prominence on social networks this Friday (14) after the viralization of videos from surveillance cameras. The images show the moment when two men on a motorcycle approach a vehicle that was traveling on the street. Instead of stopping, the driver of the car reacts by accelerating sharply towards the duo, knocking one of the suspects off the motorcycle. Then, the victim maneuvers the car in reverse and runs over the assailant who was already lying on the ground. The second suspect, upon witnessing the violent reaction, abandons the motorcycle on the street and flees on foot. The driver is still chasing the fugitive with the car for a short stretch. The second man manages to quickly hide among other parked vehicles, forcing the driver to give up the chase and leave the scene. The Military Police has not yet released details about the official record of the occurrence and the legal situation of the driver, who acted in self-defense. Check out the ridiculous mass of overhead wiring, on that pole. Not the worst I've ever seen, but I'm sure it's up to local code standards.  |
