Grandview, MO - In a matter of seconds, an emergency forced a Grandview police officer from law enforcement mode into life-saving mode.

Officer Chris Golubski's cruiser dashcam caught every heart-stopping second.

Golubski attempted to pull over a driver on Sunday on a suspected traffic violation near Missouri Highway 150 and East Outer Road.

The video shows the driver trying to run from police, then somehow losing control. When the car rolled, the video shows the driver being thrown from the SUV onto the ground.

Golubski rushed up to the SUV first to confront the driver. When he realized it was empty, he started searching for the driver and found him laying in a ditch.

The driver had no pulse and was struggling for air. Golubski then began chest compression's.

Kristine Killiam, a nurse, and her husband witnessed the accident and pulled over to the scene to help.

Killiam was there as the victim took a large breath and his pulse returned.

The injured driver left the scene talking to EMS workers as they put him in an ambulance and rushed him to an area hospital.
