This kind of puritanism is disgusting and revolting, but it seems so damn engrained in American culture. Which is a damn shame because we can do so much better. I want to love my homeland, and I think I do, but this "sex is evil" mindset is sick as all fuck. Next time some lunatic shoots up your local Walmart, you can lay some blame on this "sex bad, violence good" mindset. Conditions young Americans into thinking that repressing your true feelings and essentially turning into a ticking time bomb is desirable. Sometimes, I wonder why I bother sticking up for the red, white and blue. |
