Re: Don't Hand Around Too Long
The incident took place last Saturday (26), in Juazeiro do Norte. Two suspects tried to steal a motorcycle and cell phones from the victim, but their action was interrupted by locals. In the video, one of the suspects, armed with a machete , approaches a commercial establishment and announces a robbery. A few seconds later, a couple arrives at the location on a motorcycle and is also approached by the man. Next, the accomplice approaches and participates in the action. The victims were threatened to hand over their cell phones and motorcycle. Upon realizing the robbery was taking place, bystanders reacted and began throwing stones at the suspects. One of the suspects was shot. That man already has a criminal record for robbery and theft. Police captured one of the suspects lying on the ground with injuries. He was taken to the Cariri Regional Hospital to receive medical attention. The other suspect, who had fled with the cell phones, was later located by members of the public. He also had injuries and was taken to an Urgent Care Unit. During the investigation, one of the stolen cell phones was recovered. After receiving medical attention, the 2 suspects were presented to the authorities and detained. One of them remained under police guard at the Cariri Regional Hospital. |
