Donna Burke, 62, Arrested for Domestic Battery in Naperville, Illinois, 2023
Donna Burke, 62, was arrested July 8, 2023, after Naperville police responded to a dispute between Burke and her adult son. Officers said they had seen a video and signs of injury before arresting her for domestic battery. Body-camera footage shows Burke going limp on the front lawn after she was handcuffed, prompting officers to carry her to a squad car. In-car footage later shows her moving and speaking in the rear seat. An officer told Burke that she was adding a resisting charge during the arrest. The DuPage County arrest record lists four booked counts: two counts of domestic battery by physical contact, one count of resisting or obstructing a police officer, and one count of violating bail bond for a Class A misdemeanor arising from an earlier case. The video's end card also states that Burke faced two domestic battery counts and a resisting charge and was already on bond. |
